Webtrends Adds Facebook Analytics
Portland-based web analytics software developer Webtrends said Thursday that it has added new Facebook analytics and measurement capabilities to its Webtrends Analytics software. Webtrends said that the new capability can be used to figure things such as Facebook Fan page activity, what Twitter posts are driving people to Facebook Fan pages, conversions within Facebook, and other data. Webtrends said its new analytics capability overcomes limitations with traditional Javascript and image tracking methods, using a new method using Facebook's data API to pull data from Facebook into its tools.
