Microsoft, Yahoo Get Clearance On Search Deal
Yahoo and Microsoft said today that the two have received clearance on their search deal from both the U.S. Department of Justice and the European Commission, and will begin transitioning Yahoo's paid and algorithmic search platform to use Microsoft's technology. The two originally announced the deal back in July of 2009. The firms said that Microsoft will provide Yahoo with the same search results listings available through its Bing search engine, with Yahoo adding additional content and enhanced listings to those results.
