Mentor Buys Product Line From Freescale

Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics, a developer of electronic design automation (EDA) software, said today that it has acquired a product line from Freescale. Mentor said it purchase Freescale's "Virtual Garage" product line, used for design and management of automotive electrical and electronic systems. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Mentor said the product line will become part of its automotive industry product portfolio.
