Mentor Gets Freescale

Wilsonville, Oregon-based electronic design automation software provider Mentor Graphics said this morning that it has signed on seminconductor provider Freescale Semiconductor as a customer. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. According to Mentor, Freescale will use the firm's software in silicon test, yield analysis, physical verification, and DFM. Mentor said the deal allows Freescale to deploy its Tessent and Calibre technologies.
