Microsoft, HP To Invest $250M In Cloud Computing
Microsoft and HP said Wednesday morning that the two firms are in a three year, $250M agreement focused on technology around cloud computing. According to the firms, the strategic partnership will focus on prepackaged applications and virtualization offerings, collaboration on engineering roadmaps, and more. The firms said that, among the joint efforts, the two will create optimized version of Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server in turnkey, pre-integrated server, storage, networking, and application packages, as well as integrate the offerings with the two firms' management applications.
