VMware Opens Datacenter In Wenatchee

VMware, a Silicon Valley firm which develops server virtualization software, has selected a location in East Wenatchee, Washington, for its latest data center. According to VMware, the new data center will support its research and development facilities, and was selected specifically for its energy efficiency. The firm said the new data center uses hydroelectric power, outside air cooling, and other techniques, and is in the process of applying for LEED Platinum certification.
