Microsoft Hohm Goes Live
Microsoft Hohm, Microsoft's entry into the home energy monitoring area, just went live this morning, the firm said, and has begun accepting signups for the service. The Microsoft site, which was announced in June, uses analytics from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy to provide consumers with personalized energy-saving recommendations. Microsoft said the online application will allow people to better understand home energy usage, and provide recommendations to conserve energy and start saving.
