CollegeNET Gets University of Oregon Win

Portland-based CollegeNET, a provider of hosted business and communication software for academic institutions, revealed today that it has signed University of Oregon as a client. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. According to CollegeNET, the Eugene, Ore.-based university has implemented CollegeNET's What-Do-You-Think? course evaluation system in hopes of boosting student participation, improving teaching methods and reducing paperwork. CollegeNET explained that Oregon previously obtained professor- and course-related feedback from students via a paper-based evaluation system. CollegeNET quoted a university official as saying she expects the software-as-a-solution will save Oregon some $200,000.
