Swype Nabs $1.35M

Seattle-based Swype, a developer of software used for handling gesture-based text input on screens, has raised $1.35M in $1.7M funding round, according to a regulatory filing. The firm, which develops a method for more easily inputting text onto phones, game consoles, tablets, and other electronic devices, has not disclosed investors in the equity funding. Swype debuted in September of 2008 at the TechCrunch50 conference. More information »
