Zillow Launches Newspaper Real Estate Sites
Seattle-based real estate site Zillow is embarking on a major effort to power newspaper real estate sites this morning, saying today that it plans to launch co-branded sites for 180 newspapers nationwide. According to the firm, The Tampa Tribune and 100 newspapers published by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. will use its real estate search technology. The firm also said other papers, including the Richmond Times-Dispatch and Winston-Salem Journal, will also tap its technology. Financial impact and terms of the deals was not disclosed. The deal brings Zillow's home listings, Zestimate home value service, and other services directly to the newspaper's web sites; in turn, the newspapers will sell features listings and advertising to their local real estate advertisers.
