Zillow Teams With Papers, Launches Ad Network
Seattle-based Zillow has launched a new online real estate advertising network, and is partnering with a consotrium of 11 major newspaper companies in the effort, the firm said this morning. Zillow said that it has launched a new, online real estate network which will focus on home buying, selling, and home-related commerce. The firm said the new effort--the Zillow Advertising Network--will tap sales teams from both Zillow and 282 major newspapers, to offer premium advertising inventory to their clients. The deal calls for sharing of listings between Zillow and newspaper Web sites. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Zillow said the move is part of a partnership that the company inked with 11 major newspaper publishing companies in 2007. Publishres in the deal include Hearst Newspapers; Lee Enterprises, Incorporated; Media General, Inc.; MediaNews Group, Inc.; Morris Communications Company, Philadelphia Media Holdings; and The E.W. Scripps Company.
