Second Avenue Invests In Celebrity Site
Seattle-based Second Avenue Partners has re-upped its investment in a Connecticut firm, Fanzter, which operates celebrity web site Coolspotters.com. According to Fanzter, Second Avenue--which was the lead investor in the firm's Series A round--also participated in a $2M Series B funding for the firm. The new round was led by Steamboat Ventures. Fanzter is also backed by Curious Office Partners and Zillow's Rich Barton, although the firm did not say if Barton or Curious Office participated in the new funding. Coolspotters is a web site focused on following what products celebrities are buying and wearing.
