Second Avenue Reinvests In Energy Firm
Seattle-based venture capital firm Second Avenue has renewed its commitment to an energy storage firm out of Colorado, Ice Energy. According to Ice Energy, Second Avenue participated in a second round $33M financing in the company, for its energy storage technology. Second Avenue--which was one of Ice Energy's original Series A backers--invested alongside private equity firm Energy Capital Partners in the firm, which develops products which use ice to even out power consumption of A/C units. Second Avenue's Pete Higgins is on the board of Ice Energy.
