Microvision Gains $750K Contract
Redmond, Washington-based Microvision said Wednesday that the company has won a $750,000 contract to develop a prototype of a projection display engine, as part of a contract for the U.S. Army. The firm said the contract, from Batelle Chapel Hill Operations, the prime contractor for the Army project, is part of an effort to develop high resolution wearable displays for soldiers. The new display is targeted at providing 720p resolution, which the firm said is double the capability of its current PicoP display engine.
