Verdiem Rolls Out Consumer Energy Management Software
Seattle-based Verdiem, a developer of energy management software, said Wednesday that it has rolled out a new, PC energy management tool it calls Edison. The firm's new software, which is free for users of Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista, allows users to set the power saving mode for their computers. Verdiem previously provided software targeted at corporate PC energy management; the offering is the first consumer version of its products. Verdiem is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, The Westly Group, Phoenix Partners, Falcon Partners, Catamount Ventures, Angeleno Group, along with others.
