Verdiem Launches Appliance Product
Seattle-based Verdiem, the developer of IT energy management software, said Tuesday that it has launched a new, appliance based product. The firm said its Verdiem VBOX is an IT energy management appliance, which makes it easier for companies to deploy its software. Verdiem develops software used to manage and reduce the energy usage of PCs, Macs, and other corporate network devices. Verdiem said its new appliance helps overcome limited IT resources and all of the issues to get a server purchase or virtual machine provisioned. Verdiem said its VBOX is a turnkey appliance, in a 1U server, per-packaged and configured with all necessary software and components. Pricing on the new appliance was not announced.
