Verdiem Extends To Mac

Seattle-based Verdiem, the developer of enterprise power management software, said today that it has extended its power management software, SURVEYOR, to the Mac OS platform. Verdiem's software is used by companies to centrally control and manage the power consumption of their PCs. Verdiem says that use of its software helps enterprises reduce energy usage of their PCs and Macs by up to 60 percent. The new version of Verdiem's software also includes better support for Windows 7 power management capabilities, 802.1x Network Authentication Protocol support, and new reporting. Verdiem is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
