ActiveRain Rolls Out Neighborhood Site

Bellevue, Washington-based ActiveRain, an online real estate web site, said today that it has rolled out a new version of the firm's Localism neighborhood portal site. According to ActiveRain, the new site will offer local residents, merchants, and others a way to add articles and photos on neighborhoods across the entire United States. The hyper-local web site allows real estate professionals and others to create articles about their local neighborhoods, post photos, and provide other information about their neighborhoods. Features of the site include manual review of all articles before posting, and ability for real estate professionals and others to sponsor communities. ActiveRain is backed by $2.75M in funding from fellow real estate firm HouseValues.
