Microsoft Spins Out ZenZui

Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft said today that it has funded a new, independent firm called ZenZui, which will provide advanced information visualization technology for mobile phones. The firm is using technology patented by Microsoft and developed by Microsoft's Redmond Research lab. The company raised $12M in a Series A financing round from Oak Investment Partners and Hunt Ventures in conjunction with the spinout. Tom Huseby of SeaPoint Ventures is now chairman of the firm's board of directors. More information »
