Intermec Gets Win In New York

Everett, Washington-based Intermec said today that it has signed on the Department of Sanitation of New York as a customer of its handheld computer and printers. The firm's devices will be used to issue tickets for recycling, health, and administrative code violations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Intermec the deal covers 200 enforcement and sanitation police agents, and was installed by 3i Infotech, a systems integrator and partner.
