Remitly Buys Talio

Seattle-based Remitly said today that it has acquired Talio, the developer of an immersive mobile messaging service. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Remitly said that Talio's investors--including Richard Kiphart, Vulcan Capital, Spencer Rascoff, Rudy Gadre, and Erik Blachford--will also become investors in Remitly as part of the deal. Talio was also based in Seattle, and was founded by Piragash Velummylum and Jordan Timmermann, both of whom will join Remitly as part of the acquisition.
