Grass Valley Gets Acquisition Offer From Belden

Hillsboro, Oregon-based broadcast equipment maker Grass Valley--which makes cameras, switches, editing systems, and much more for the television broadcast market--has received an acquisition offer from Belden, according to current owner, private equity investor Francisco Partners. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Francisco Partners acquired Grass Valley in 2010. Belden said it would look to combine Grass Valley with its Miranda business, which also supplies hardware and software to the broadcast business.
