Tripwire Sold To Belden For $710M

Portland-based security software developer Tripwire has been sold to Belden, in a deal worth $710M in cash, the companies said Tuesday. According to Belden, the move will help its customers improve the robustness and security of their networks. Belden is based in St. Louis, Missouri. Tripwire offers up security and vulnerability management software which it sells to enterprises, service providers, manufacturers and government agencies. The two companies said they have been working together since September on joint cybersecurity efforts in the manufacturing area.
