GlobalScholar Acquired By Scantron
Bellevue-based GlobalScholar, a provider of education technology, has been acquired by Scantron, the company known by millions of schoolchildren for their fill-in-the-bubble test scoring forms. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Scantron, the acquisition will further its rapid expansion of web-based education solutions. GlobalScholar was venture backed by Ignition Partners and Knowledge Universe. Harland Clarke, the parent firm of Scantron, said that GlobalScholar had around 330 employees, split between Bellevue and Chennai, India.
