Cranium Acquired By Hasbro

Seattle-based games maker Cranium has been acquired by Hasbro, Hasbro announced Friday. Hasbro said it will pay $77.5M for Cranium, which is venture backed by Maveron, Peterson Partners, Quad Venture Partners, Raycliff Capital, and TPG Ventures. Hasbro said the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of the year. Cranium was founded by Richard Tait, and was founded in 1998. Cranium raised at least $36M in venture capital.
