Maveron Managing Partner Starts Duke Basketball Co-Investment Fund
The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting today in an article from Craig Karmin of the Wall Street Journal, that Maveron Managing Partner Dan Levitan has helped Duke University create a new, co-investment fund to support the university's basketball team. According to the paper, the Duke Basketball Venture Capital Co-Investment Fund is funded by about 20 venture capitalists, with the proceeds going to the Duke men's basketball squad. Levitan is a co-founder of Maveron, and serves on the boards of Cranium, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Qsent, JobFlash, drugstore.com and The Motley Fool.
