Boeing's 757 Hacked By Homeland Security
Boeing's 757 aircraft has been remotely hacked by a Homeland Security team, opening up concerns that terrorists or hackers could use similar techniques on the 757 and other similar aircraft. According to a Department of Homeland Security official at a recent security summit, the hack--done remotely, to a Boeing 757 parked in Atlantic City, New Jersey--did not require any insider assistance or even touching the airplane. According to the expert, the plane was hacked using the 757's "radio frequency communications". 757 photo courtesy Andrew W. Sieber, via Flickr.
