Microsoft Powers Boeing Virtual 737 Model

Redmond-based Microsoft said today that Boeing's new 737 Explained, an online, 3D virtual model of a Boeing 737 launched today, was built on its Windows Azure platform. Boeing's new virtual 3D model is aimed at prospective customers, and is built from thousands of high resolution photographs. Details of the win were not announced by Microsoft, which said that Boeing tapped [wire] stone, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, to develop the marketing tool.
