Ygnition Acquires Convergent Broadband

Seattle-based Ygnition Networks, a provider of broadband services to the real estate industry, announced today that it has purchased Convergent Broadband Communications Inc. Terms of the deal, which includes service agreements and equipment, were not disclosed. Based in Tempe, Arizona, CBC offers cable television, digital television and high-speed Internet services to more than 100,000 apartments in the Phoenix area. Ygnition provides similar broadband services to more than 100,000 multi-family residential dwellings throughout the United States. In a related move, Ygnition said it has named Tom Kuerner as regional manager for the Phoenix market. Kuerner, the company noted, had previous held the same role for the West Coast region.
