Astound Broadband Buys San Francisco Broadband Service

Astound Broadband, a subsidiary of Kirkland, Washington-based Wave Division Holdings, has purchased RCN's San Francisco assets in a deal worth $45M in cash. RCN said that it completed the sale of RCN's San Francisco operations Tuesday. The deal was originally announced last august. RCN was advised by BB&T Capital Markets in the deal. RCN provided cable, Internet, and phone services to 18,000 customers in San Francisco.
