F5 Networks Names Sprint's CEO To Board

Seattle-based F5 Networks, the developer of network traffic shaping hardware, said late Friday that it has named Michael Combes, the CEO of Sprint, to its board of directors. Combes only recently joined Sprint, having previously served as CEO and chief operating officer at Altice, and chairman and CEO of SFR Group. He previously also was CEO of Alcatel-Lucent, CEO of Vodafone Europe, chairman and CEO of TDF Group, and chief financial officer and senior executive vice president of France Telecom. F5 Networks said the service provider market is a core area of its business.
