Amazon Buys PillPack For $1B

Seattle-based Amazon announced on Thursday that it has acquired Pillpack, an online pharmacy which delivers prescriptions to people with multiple, daily prescriptions. Amazon will pay $1 billion for Pillpack, which was based in Amazon. According to Amazon, it expects to close the transaction during the second half of 2018. Pillpack offers up such services as pre-sorted dose packaging, home delivery, and reminders on refills and renewals.
