Microsoft Leads Investment In Drone Map Startup, AirMap

Microsoft Ventures is the lead investor in a startup, AirMap, which operates a service and provide software to help drones avoid restricted airspace. AirMap announced Thursday morning that it had raised $26M in a Series B funding, which was led by Microsoft Ventures, and also included Airbus Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Rakuten, Sony, and Yuneec, along with prior investors General Catalyst and Lux Capital.
