Microsoft Acquires Simplygon For 3D Tools

Microsoft has acquire Swedish 3D animation tools developer Simplygon, the company announced on Tuesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Microsoft said the buy would help it accelerate its efforts in 3D creation. Simplygon was developed by Donya Labs AB. Microsoft said Donya Labs CEO Matt Connors, founder and CTO Ulrik Lindahl and co-founder Koshi Hamedi will all join Microsoft as part of the buy.
