Itron Debuts Mobile Data Collection App

Liberty Lake-based smart meter maker Itron is entering the app age, saying on Tuesday that it has launched a new mobile data collection and field asset management software for smart, mobile devices. The company said its new Itron Mobile app, which runs on smartphones, tablets, and laptops, can be used for both automated and manual meter reading and data collection. The company said features of the app include the ability to capture photographs of meters, provide cloud-based maps of routes and meter data, and constant connections to supervisors.
