Microsoft Ties With Renault-Nissan On Connected Vehicles
Redmond-based Microsoft and the Renault-Nissan Alliance announced today that they are in a multi-year partnership on connected driving. According to the two, they will work together to develop next-generation connected services for cars, powered by Microsoft Azure. Financial details of the deal were not anounced. The two said they will be applying the technology towards advanced navigation, predictive maintenance and vehicle centric services, remote monitoring of car features, external mobile experiences and over-the-air updates.
