TableSafe Gets PCI Certification
Kirkland, Washington-based restaurant payment platform developer TableSafe announced today that its RAIL 2 payment system has achieved PCI PTS certification, the credit card industry's security, data integrity, and privacy protection standard. The company said the certification will allow it to initiate manufacturing of its systems. TableSafe develops a payment system which looks much like a traditional, billfold, which is used to present checks to diners; the system accepts mag stripe, EMV/chip payments, NFC, and mobile payment applications. TableSafe says it plans to distribute its payment systems first in multiple, local Seattle area restaurants, with plans to expand in a national pilot in the fall.
