Microsoft Backs Pivotal In $253M Funding

Microsoft is making a big investment in Pivotal, a Silicon Valley developer of Agile software, as part of a strategic investment that also included Ford Motor, the companies said today. Pivotal said it raised $253M in a Series C funding, which came from Ford, Microsoft, GE, EMC, and VMware. Pivotal's software is used in rapid software development.
