National Girls Collaborative Project Wins Google Rise Award
The National Girls Collaborative Project, which is based in Seattle, has been selected for the presitigous 2016 Google RISE Awards, for its efforts to encourage girls to pursue STEM careers. The nonprofit is one of only 28 organizations worldwide--and only 13 in North America--to receive the award. Google says it provides from $10,000 to $25,000 in grants to the various organizations selected in the program.
