New Oregon Accelerator Targets Clean Technology Startups
In an effort to boost local clean technology startups, two local groups have launched a new startup accelerator today--the Cascadia CleanTech Accelerator--focused on helping cleantech startups throughout the Pacific Northwest. The new accelerator, created by the CleanTech Alliance and Oregon Best, said it is looking to leverage the unique clean technology business and research assets in the region, with applications closing for the accelerator program on May 15th. The new program specifically will help with mentoring, business modeling, product developing, and other efforts, plus access to prize money and in-kind services; however, the program does not include an equity investment component, like some other accelerators.
