Maveron Exits Pinkberry
Seattle-based venture investor Maveron has exited one of its portfolio companies--frozen yogurt chain Pinkberry--after Pinkberry was sold by quick serve restaurant operator Kahala Brands. Financial details of the acquisition deal were not disclosed. PinkBerry, one of a number of consumer retail investments from Maveron, had first received funding from Maveron back in 2007. Pinkberry's CEO is Ron Graves, who previously was a General Partner at Maveron, but stepped down from the investment firm to take the helm from Pinkberry's founders in 2008. Pinkberry was based in Los Angeles, California.
