Microsoft Donates $1M To Naval Academy For Cyber Security Studies
Microsoft said today that it has made a $1M gift to the U.S. Naval Academy, to help fund a new building at the school. According to Microsoft, the gift goes to the Naval Academy Foundation to support the Center for Cyber Security Studies building. The funding will go towards outfitting laboratories, classrooms, meeting spaces, and other features. The Naval Academy said it is now looking to educate all midshipmen in areas of cyber defense and warfare, with two courses in the area required of all midshipmen before they graduate.
