Intel, Oregon Health & Science University Team On Cancer Research
Intel and Oregon Health & Science University have launched a new, cloud-computing effort aimed at helping with cancer research, the two said late k. According to Intel, it has linked with the Knight Cancer Institute at OHSU, to build a genomics analysis platform specifically aimed at helping in cancer research. Intel said the new Collaborative Cancer Cloud, will help hospitals and research institutions securely share patient genomic, imaging, and clinical data, assisting in developing potentially lifesaving discoveries. Intel had said in 2013 that it would be working on the project, which it said last week will now be made available to developers in 2016.
