PayRange Gets $12M For Vending Machine Payments

Portland- and San Jose, California-based PayRange announced that it has raised $12M in a Series A funding round. The startup, which is headed by Paresh Patel, said the funding came from Matrix Partners. PayRange develops a device which plugs into the back of vending machines, and and uses consumers to pay for things using either digital payments or a credit card. The company has apps for iOS and Android.
