Microsoft, Samsung Settle Lawsuit Over Android Contract

Microsoft and Samsung said late Monday that the companies have ended their contract dispute, which had come over Android patent royalties. Details on the settlement were not disclosed. The two said, in a tersely worded statement, that they have ended their contract dispute in both U.S. courts as well as in ICC arbitration. The two have been sparring back and forth since 2011 over licensing of the Android operating system, which Microsoft says incorporates its patented technology.
