Cyanogen Raising $70M From Microsoft, Says Report
Seattle-based operating system developer Cyanogen, which develops an alternative Android operating system outside of the control of Google, is set to receive $70M from Microsoft, as part of a larger funding round, according to a report. According to the WSJ, the funding values Cyanogen in the "high hundreds of millions". Neither Cyanogen or Microsoft have confirmed the investment move. Cyanogen develops an open source alternative to the official Android operating system.
