Sample Please! Outerwall's New Kiosk For Samples, Coupons

Bellevue-based kiosk developer Outerwall showed off an expansion to the company's empire of kiosks, saying at CES this week that it has been piloting a new kiosk called SAMPLEit, which lets consumers discover and try new product in groery stores. Outerwall said its SAMPLEit kiosk--which has rolled out in a few markets already in the US--let users pay $1.00 to receive a sample and coupon on a variety of different products. Outerwall also was showing off ecoATM, its kiosk business for trading in old cell phones and electronic devices, and Coinstar Exchange, which lets users trade in unwanted gift cards for cash.
