Coinstar Plans To Change Name, To Outerwall

Bellevue-based Coinstar is looking for a name change, the company said Thursday, to Outerwall, as the firm's business has significantly expanded beyond its origins as a coin counting kiosk company. According to Coinstar, it also will change its stock trading symbol, from CSTR to OUTR. Coinstar said the name change effort reflects an evolution of the company from a single, coin-counting kiosk business into multiple, automated retail businesses.
