Outerwall Seeks Buyer, Hires Investment Banker

Seattle-based Outerwall said late Monday that it has launched an effort to "explore strategic and financial alternatives", and has hired Morgan Stanley & Co. and Perkins Coie LLP to help it with the effort. Outerwall said it also said its board and management team is commited to "managing Outerwall's businesses for profitability and cash flow and focusing on expense management, operational efficiencies and network optimization." Outerwall is the parent company of Redbox and Coinstar.
