Amazon Grows Third Party Fulfillment Business
Seattle-based Amazon.com reported this morning that it grew its third party fulfillment service by over 65 percent, year-over-year. Amazon.com also said that its third party sellers sold more than 2 billion items worldwide in 2014, which it says account for over 40 percent of the total units sold on Amazon. The company said it now has more than 2 million sellers on its site. Among other services that Amazon provides is warehousing and shipment of products for sellers, in addon to handling payments, inventory management, and more.
